The call was made during celebrations held in Nairobi to mark the International Nurses Week, where speakers lauded nurses for their critical role in patient care and the wider health system. Director of Nursing Services at the Kenyatta University Teaching Referral and Research Hospital, Dr Pamleila Nkirote, challenged the facility’s 800 nurses to take advantage of opportunities for higher training.
