Members of Mkamenyi Farmers Cooperative have appealed to the government to intervene in a long-running land dispute they say has seen their community land sold illegally. The residents claim the land, previously leased for sisal farming, should have reverted to the community after the lease expired several years ago. Instead, they allege the land continues to change ownership under unclear circumstances.
