Police officer shoots dead 2 boda boda riders in Thika

A DCI officer was arrested in Thika after shooting dead two boda boda riders near Makongeni Police Station following a minor accident involving his car and a motorcycle. Witnesses say the officer, who appeared drunk and violent, opened fire during an altercation, killing two men aged 38 and 39. Enraged residents torched his Audi despite attempts by fellow riders to calm the crowd. Thika West Police Commander confirmed the suspect was disarmed and his firearm seized. The two bodies were moved to General Kago Mortuary as investigations continue.
