West Pokot leaders plead for extension of voter registration exercise

Leaders is pastoralists areas are calling for the extension of the enhanced continuous voter registration exercise saying many residents in such areas have been locked out due to movement in search of pasture. West Pokot County Governor Simon Kachapin says so far only 32,837 new voters have been registered attributing the low registartion to the migration of locals into neighboring Uganda.
