The High Court in Kibera has fined six police officers 10,000 shillings each or three months in jail for failing to testify in the case against former Pangani police officer Ahmed Rashid, accused of killing two teenagers in 2017. Justice Rachael Kavedza, who is presiding over the case, also ordered the officers to appear in person at the next hearing, despite their written explanations for missing court. The session also saw the presentation of CCTV footage showing how police tracked suspected members of the notorious Gaza gang in the moments leading up to the shooting.
