Cabinet Secretary for Health Aden Duale has defended the government’s plan to introduce graphic health warnings on tobacco product packaging, under the Tobacco Control Strategy 2025. And even as Duale said the measures will protect public health by raising awareness of the long-term dangers of tobacco use, the Senate is also fighting under-age smoking by proposing stiffer penalties on sellers and a ban on flavors and additives in tobacco products.
