Pastoralists decry lack of registration of communal land

Pastoralist communities have raised concerns over land tenure insecurity, grazing boundary disputes, and challenges in mobility caused by slow registration of community lands. A research conducted by the National Lands Commission states that only 15 percent of group ranches are legally registered and just 5 percent have been converted into trust lands.
