Ugunja by-election peaceful despite low turnout and bribery concerns

A low voter turnout was registered in the Ugunja parliamentary by-election, where ten candidates are facing off. Some of the candidates had expressed concerns about alleged voter bribery, prompting the electoral commission as well as security agencies to increase surveillance across the constituency.
