Now, to put the numbers into perspective, Kenya joined the world in marking World AIDS Day with national celebrations at Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi. This year’s theme, “One Race, One Goal,” highlighted the sharp rise in new HIV infections among adolescents aged 15 to 19. Thousands participated in the World AIDS Day half-marathon, as leaders acknowledged that the country is racing against time and running out of it.
