Officials from Pentecostal Voices of Kenya have called for the complete termination of the religious organisation's Bill 2024. They say even as the country celebrates 62 years of independence, the church fears for its freedom of worship, saying the bill is a way of silencing churches and NGOs. They claim it is a result of the shakahola incident, adding that the government should instead prioritise addressing critical issues affecting the nation.
