Eight dead in Ekerenyo crash as police hunt truck driver who fled scene

Death toll from a road accident in Ekerenyo along the Ikonge-Ekerenyo road in Nyamira has risen to eight. This after two more people succumbed while receiving treatment at the Nyamira County Teaching and Referral Hospital. The crash involved an 11-seater matatu that was heading to Nyamira from Nairobi, which collided head-on with a truck. Police in Nyamira are in hot pursuit of the truck driver who fled after the crash
