Ruto defends ‘first world’ economic agenda

President William Ruto now says the journey to transform Kenya into a first-world country will be halfway done by next year, hitting out at his critics who have termed the roadmap a pipe dream. Speaking during his tour of Turkana County today, the head of state also defended the cabinet decision yesterday to give a green light to the national infrastructure fund and the sovereign wealth fund, which he says will be central in the economic transformation journey.
