The National Environment Management Authority Nema now says the outlawed single-use plastic bags are still being smuggled into the country from Uganda through the Busia border. Cautioning Kenyans against using the bags as they risk arrests, the Authority says they have information that single-use plastic bags which were banned in 2017 are still in use in some parts of the country.
