President William Ruto has convened his first cabinet meeting two-weeks after his swearing in. Though he is yet to name his line up for the cabinet, the President met members of the Cabinet largely drawn from retired President Kenyatta’s reign. The meeting comes in the backdrop of rising insecurity in the North of Kenya and a biting drought in more than 7 counties and threatening to spread to other counties.
