A farmer from Luoka Village in Sigomere Ward, Siaya County, who killed a python after it attacked his dog in Ugunja, will be compensated, wildlife authorities have confirmed. Senior Warden Grace Kariuki from the Kisumu–Siaya counties said the decision was made after her team visited the farmer, noting that the incident falls under human–wildlife conflict and is being handled in line with wildlife compensation guidelines.
