Shinyalu resident Thomas Aquina killed by unknown assailants

A 63 year old man was murdered by unknown assailants on Wednesday, in Shinyalu sub county Kakamega county. Unknown assailants raided Thomas Aquinas' home Wednesday night and assaulted him with a blunt weapon in what relatives say could be a fight over land. The victim's brother, Kizito Ehitukha, said the fatal attack was the fifth in a string of such incidents against Thomas. The victim had hosted a dowry ceremony for his only daughter three days before the attack. Family members and residents condemned the attack, expressing concern about their safety and asked the police to act quickly to ensure their security.
