A section of leaders allied to the united opposition are expressing their waning confidence in the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission's capability to conduct free and fair elections in 2027. Speaking in Kipipiri, Nyandarua County, the leaders led by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and DAPK’s Eugene Wamalwa accused the commission of a plot to use Smartmatic system to manipulate the elections in favor of President William Ruto.
