Vihiga and Embu Governors dismiss misappropriation allegations

Officials in Vihiga and Embu counties have defended themselves against claims of diverting public money to personal use, allegations that emerged during the appearance of Governors Wilber Otichillo and Cecily Mbarire before the Senate Public Accounts Committee. Otichilo has defended himself over a KSh 5 million expenditure linked to the housewarming of the Speaker’s residence saying the said money was instead advanced to the County Assembly as a loan.
