Grade 10 admission under new curriculum could kill public day schools, KUPPET warns

The Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers, KUPPET, has warned that the admission of Grade 10 learners under the new curriculum, could lead to the extinction of public, sub-county level day schools. KUPPET Chairperson Omboko Milemba says there is need for the Ministry of Education to rationalize the placement process saying Sub-County Public day schools, predominantly cater for learners from poor backgrounds.
