Bungoma Governor Lusaka grilled over delayed pensions and gratuities

Bungoma county government is on the spot for failing to remit statutory deductions and pay gratuities and pensions to employees. Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka found it hard to convince Senators why county staff who served under his predecessor were yet to receive their gratuities three years down the line. The Senate county public accounts committee also implored the county executive to prioritise payment of pending bills which stand at 2.6 billion shillings.
