President Ruto announces plans to reduce PAYE for those earning below Ksh 50,000

President William Ruto has spelt out the government's economic recovery plan during a meeting with over 12,000 UDA aspirants at state house, Nairobi. During the meeting, Ruto revealed plans to settle all pending bills owed to road contractors upto December 2025 by this Friday. He further announced plans to scrap pay-as-you-earn taxes for individuals earning below 30,000 shillings, and to reduce Pay As You Earn to 20 per cent for those earning less than 50,000 shillings.
