Another Kenyan has been killed in the ongoing Russia–Ukraine war. Dennis Bagaka Ombwori, a 39-year-old former Kenya Defence Forces soldier from Kitutu Chache Constituency in Kisii County, died while fighting in Russia after allegedly being recruited under false promises of employment. His family is appealing to the government for assistance in repatriating his body to Kenya.
