The Nairobi Securities Exchange, in collaboration with telco service provider safaricom have unveiled Ziidi Trader, a new feature on the mobile money platform M-Pesa, that enables users to buy and sell Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) shares directly from their mobile wallet. The platform will now include price alerts and portfolio tracking. According to Safaricom chief finance officer Dilip Pal, the move aims to lower barriers to stock market participation and expand retail activity on the exchange.
