Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC), Ministry of ICT and The Digital Economy, supported by Huawei Kenya held a four-day Data Privacy and Protection Training in Wajir County from 9th to 12th February. The program benefited 200 students and focused on raising awareness about data privacy, responsible digital citizenship, and compliance with Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019.
Participants gained practical knowledge on personal data rights, safe online behavior, and ethical handling of information, empowering young people to navigate the digital space safely as technology adoption grows across the country.
