Ruto urges Africa to fast-track green industrialisation, targets 300GW by 2030

President William Ruto is urging African nations to speed up green industrialisation and renewable energy development to boost economic competitiveness. Speaking at the Green Growth, Africa Made event in Addis Ababa, he said Africa’s plan to generate 300 gigawatts of renewable power by 2030 is a vital strategy to strengthen trade, sovereignty, and growth.
