Counties slammed for billions wasted on travel

County governments continued with the high expenditure on both domestic and foreign travel, reducing the amount of resources available for service delivery and development. The report of the controller of budget covering the financial year ending June 2025 shows how counties like Nairobi spent as high as 800 million shillings on trips, including benchmarking engagements, training sessions, and conferences abroad.
