Kenya joins global community in honouring teachers

The World Teachers’ Day is being marked at Kasarani International Stadium, celebrating the vital role of teachers across the globe.With a shortage of over 50 million teachers in Sub-Saharan Africa, education stakeholders are urging governments to act fast in addressing the shortage of staff, poor training and resources, limited funding, unfair employment terms, and persistent gender inequality in the education sector among others issues.
