The Kenya National Union of Teachers, KNUT, has dismissed calls by the Kenya Union of Post-Primary Education Teachers, KUPPET, to domicile Junior Secondary Schools in secondary schools, insisting that they should remain under primary schools. Speaking in Thika, Kiambu County, KNUT Central Region Secretary General, Mathenge Wanjau, accused KUPPET of pursuing a hidden agenda, noting that such a move would disrupt the smooth implementation of the Competency-Based Education Curriculum.
