39 women and girls from Migori County have undergone fistula surgery free of charge at the Migori County Referral Hospital.
The operations conducted during a week-long medical camp, organized through a partnership between Amref Health Africa, the Flying Doctors Society of Africa, Safaricom, and the Migori County Government, also targeted women from neighbouring Narok County. Migori County Governor Dr. Ochilo Ayacko announced that fistula surgery will be offered as a continuous and free service at the hospital, a move aimed at restoring dignity and hope to patients.
