The commission on administrative justice and the media council of Kenya have strongly condemned attacks on journalists by security agencies as witnessed during the ongoing protests. Speaking while opening the office of the commission in Meru town, the chairperson Florence Kajuju termed the attacks as a violation of human rights and an affront to press freedom. On the new Ombudsman Meru office, Kajuju urged the residents from Meru and its environs to make use of the office adding she was confident that the office will be able to reduce the backlog in the judiciary.
