The Kenya Media Sector Working Group has faulted the state for what it terms as undermining press freedom as enshrined in the constitution. Led by the Kenya Editors Guild President Zubeida Koome, the group warned the trend was clawing back on gains made urging stakeholders to guard the freedom and the state to allow journalism to thrive. And as Timothy Kipnusu reports the media fraternity wants the government to take punitive action against officers who attacked journalists during the anti-government protests.
