A 70-year-old man has died after sustaining injuries following a scuffle linked to sand harvesting at Enziu River in Mwingi Central, Kitui County. The deceased, Joseph Mwendwa, was allegedly hacked to death during a confrontation with a group of sand loaders. His family accuses the police of alleged laxity in their response and is now calling on the government to ensure justice is served.
