Ghana has rejected a proposed $109m health deal with the US over data protection concerns.
The five-year agreement would have required the sharing of sensitive medical data - something officials say would breach the country’s laws.
Zimbabwe has also turned down a similar deal, citing concerns over data sharing without clear benefits, such as access to vaccines or treatments.
