AFRICAN YOUTH URGED TO CHAMPION PEACE THROUGH DEMOCRATIC PARTICIPATION AND DIALOGUE

Young people across Africa have been challenged to take a leading role in promoting peace, democratic participation, and social cohesion, particularly during election periods. The call was made during the 7th Regional Youth in Action (YIA) Forum held in Nairobi, which brought together more than 30 youth leaders from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Somalia, and South Sudan to strengthen their skills in peacebuilding, civic engagement, and leadership.
