Artificial intelligence is transforming agricultural financing in Kenya by helping small and medium-sized agribusinesses access credit without the need for traditional collateral.
Speaking during the Financing Agri-Food Systems Sustainably (FINAS) 2026 Forum in Nairobi, Avenews CEO Jonathan Tseelon said the fintech firm's AI-powered platform uses transaction data, sales patterns and business performance to assess creditworthiness, enabling farmers and agribusinesses to access working capital faster.
