Canada warns Kenyans against FIFA World Cup recruitment scams

The Canadian government has cautioned Kenyan citizens against falling for recruitment scams ahead of the FIFA world cup in June. Speaking in Nairobi, the Canadian deputy minister for immigration, refugees and citizenship Harpreet Kochhar advised that there are no stadium construction jobs available. Canada's high commissioner to Kenya Joshua Tabah also warned that the purchase of a ticket does not guarantee the issuance of a visa and that those planning to attend matches across the us, Mexico and Canada will need to secure visas from each of the host nations.
