Busia County Director of Education James Ekalyo has hailed the Centre for Mathematics, Science and Technology for East Africa (CEMASTEA) for STEM outreach in Busia schools, noting that it will play a vital role towards attaining a 60% transition in the STEM pathway ahead of the grade 10 transition. Speaking at Kisoko girls' primary after assessing the teacher–learner hands-on training, Ekalyo lauded the program, saying the program seeks to motivate young learners by offering ideas and strategies which will help them develop creative, innovative, and problem-solving skills in the STEM subjects.
