President Uhuru Kenyatta has today suspended a high court judge Said Juma Chitembwe and instituted a tribunal to investigate his conduct. This follows recommendations by the judiciary service commission, (JSC), to sack the high court judge after petitioners Imgrad beige and David Leboo tabled grave corruption allegations against Chitembwe. Chitembwe came into the limelight during interviews for chief justice in May 2021. The president is set to ax Chitembwe if the tribunal confirms the accusations against the besieged judge.
