CHURCH URGED TO TAKE LEAD IN ADDRESSING CHALLENGES FACING YOUTH

The church has been urged to play a central role in creating safe spaces where young people can seek guidance and support on challenges including teenage pregnancies, HIV infections and sexual and gender-based violence. Faith leaders and county officials in Migori County called for stronger partnerships between churches, faith-based organisations and the government to address issues affecting youth and adolescents, including reproductive health, mental health, FGM and early marriages.
