Western Regional Commissioner Irungu Macharia has urged parents in Malava Sub-county to take their parental responsibilities seriously.
He warned that neglecting parental duties leaves children vulnerable to drug abuse and petty crimes.
Macharia cautioned that children with poor upbringing always grow into irresponsible adults, become a burden to their families, and frequently find themselves in conflict with the law.
“Our president said it clearly that you cannot leave the responsibilities of raising your children to the government or to the police,” he noted.
