Court orders Kerich to begin contempt jail term

The High Court has ordered Nairobi County Finance CECM Charles Kerich to surrender within three days to begin serving a three-month jail sentence for contempt of court. The court declined an application by Kerich's lawyers seeking to suspend the sentence pending the hearing of fresh applications filed before the court.
