CS Julius Ogamba: In 2025, 993,226 candidates sat for the KCSE, compared to 962,512 in 2024, representing an increase of 30,714 candidates. There were 492,012 males and 501,214 females. This is the second consecutive year that female candidates outnumbered male candidates.
