CS Wandayi warns oil companies against fuel hoarding

Energy and Petroleum Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi has warned oil marketing companies against hoarding fuel in anticipation of higher prices expected in next month’s Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority review. Wandayi termed the practice illegal and exploitative, accusing some firms of creating artificial shortages to maximize profits at the expense of Kenyans. He assured the public that the country has sufficient fuel stocks, saying there is no cause for alarm.
