DPP blames police for delay in South C building collapse investigation

The Director of Public Prosecution Renson Ingonga is tonight blaming police for failing to submit investigation files on the South C building collapse, close to three months after the incident cost the lives of two people. Ingonga, in a letter titled “2nd Reminder” to the Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanaja, indicates that despite writing twice to the I.G directing police to investigate, record statements from all persons, and submit the findings, no file has been forwarded to his office.
