DPP on the spotlight over delayed Sh7.8B COVID-19 scam case

    The Directorate of Public Prosecutions is once again on the spot over the delay in prosecuting 29 individuals implicated in the 7.8 billion-shillings COVID-19 scandal. Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission CEO Twalib Mbarak, revealed that in the last three years, the DPP had thrice returned the Commissions file with recommendations to cover additional areas. The National Assembly’s Public Investment Committee has now summoned the DPP Renson Omulele over the matter. Abdiaziz Hashim reports.
