Preparations for the Dock Workers Union (DWU) elections slated for August 13 are progressing despite delays in the release of funds needed to print ballot papers, procure ballot boxes, and facilitate other election logistics.
Speaking during the candidate verification exercise, Election Board Chairperson Renson Thoya assured aspirants that the process would remain free, fair, and transparent. He called on the union's National Executive Committee to urgently release the required funds to keep preparations on schedule.
