The National Assembly Energy Committee has expressed frustrations over the blame game by energy ministry officials over the controversial substandard oil importation. The committee rejected attempts by the energy cabinet secretary, Opiyo Wandayi, to exonerate himself from blame, insisting that someone must be held accountable. The Parliamentary watchdog, which conducted a fact-finding tour of the Kenya Pipeline Company Storage Facility in Nairobi, instructed the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority, EPRA, to cancel licences of unscrupulous oil marketing companies that have been hoarding fuel for speculation.
