Environment CS : 100M tree seedlings to be planted to mark 2025 Mazingira Day

Kenya has planted over 1.06 billion trees since the start of the 15 billion tree by 2032 ambition in December 2022. Environment cabinet secretary Dr Deborah Barasa says the government targets to plant another 100 million tree seedlings across primary schools in the country during the Mazingira day celebrations slated for the 10th of October. Deborah urged every Kenyan to use the national holiday to go back to their primary school, donate and plant fruit trees as a means of reaching the 30% tree cover target by the year 2032.
