Four in ten Kenyans financially stressed as debt and living costs rise

    Four in every 10 working Kenyans remain financially stressed, while 40 percent of working Kenyans are borrowing to meet everyday expenses. This is according to the Wellness Monitor report, which tracks the financial health of working Kenyans. Forty-six percent of working Kenyans regularly go beyond their budgets, owing to the rising cost of living, mounting debt, and expanding financial responsibilities, which continue to weigh on households.
