National Government Administration Officers (NGAOs) in Garissa County are undergoing a three-day training on data collection, management and utilization to strengthen evidence-based government planning and decision-making. The training, organized by the State Department for Economic Planning, equips local administrators with digital tools and skills to collect accurate, continuous grassroots data that can guide resource allocation, monitor government projects and identify community needs. Officials emphasized the importance of reliable, locally generated data in improving public service delivery and supporting Kenya’s long-term development agenda.
